Battle Creek Live! Summer Presented by Consumers Credit Union

Battle Creek Live! announces the summer entertainment lineup for Downtown Battle Creek and will carry on the tradition of the Post Band, Vibe @ 5, Movies in the Park, Food Truck Fridays and the Battle Creek Farmers Market will be presented by Consumers Credit Union.

Consumers Credit Union, located in Battle Creek at 6081 B. Dr. offers a full line of financial services and has been serving West Michigan since 1951.

Detailed information is available at BattleCreekLive.com. Battle Creek Live! is an initiative to bring live entertainment and events to downtown Battle Creek with a goal of contributing economic impact to downtown and to the community's quality of life.


The Post Band, presented by Post Consumer Brands will be returning for its 95th season. The concert band will perform six times this summer in Festival Market Square, June 7, 14, 21, and 28 as well as July 12 and 19, beginning at 7:00 p.m. each night. The Post Band will feature a different theme each week and is free to attend.

Vibe @ 5 begins on July 7 at Friendship Park. New this year, the concert series will be all tributes to popular artists. All concerts begin a 5:00 p.m. The performance schedule is as follows: July 6, Toppermost (Beatles tribute); July 13, Erika Scherry Country Band (Miranda Lambert tribute); July 20, Tony Fields Trio (Motown tribute); July 27, Danny D (Rod Stewart tribute); August 3, Teddy Petty & The Refugees (Tom Petty tribute); August 10, Night Moves (Bob Seger tribute).

Battle Creek Parks and Recreation will again host Movies in the Park at Mill Race Park. "Despicable Me 3" will begin the season on June 8, July 13 will feature "Cars 3", and August 10 will close the season with "The Emoji Movie". The family friendly movies will begin at dusk.

Food Truck Fridays in Festival Market Square is back! On May 11, June 8, July 13, and August 10 a variety of food trucks and familiar farmers market vendors will be set up beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Once again alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase for those 21 years and older with valid identification. Due to popular demand Feeding Grizzlies will return for all four dates and be featured as the Battle Creek Live! house band.
