Kellogg Arena to host American Cancer Society's Inaugural Cure-A-Con


The American Cancer Society's pilot fundraiser, Cure-A-Con, will be held at Kellogg Arena in downtown Battle Creek, November 10, 11, & 12, 2017.

The idea behind Cure-a-Con

The idea behind Cure-a-Con is to engage young adults and families in the American Cancer Society's fight for a world without cancer by providing an experience that appeals to the popular culture of comics, cosplay, science fiction/fantasy, and gaming. Proceeds raised will fund ground-breaking cancer research and patient services. While Battle Creek was chosen as the location of this first event, depending on its success it could be duplicated in other markets across the nation.

Cure-A-Con will feature artists, vendors, panels, and guests like other comic cons, but it promises to offer a unique, more personal experience. Exclusive to Cure-a-Con is The Lair, a private space within the con. Each 10’x10’ piped and draped Lair is located on the convention floor. Purchasers can bring their own furniture and electronics, decorate their Lairs to coordinate with their costumes, or simply use it as a space to chill out with friends. Only 20 Lairs are available and each includes two 3-day Adult (or Child) Passes, two event t-shirts, VIP line access, and other amenities. The event will also feature gaming tournaments and a silent auction of collectibles and memorabilia.
